This is the ASE's second forum to bring together science education professionals who support teachers and trainees or who are international teachers and trainees.

In this session we will discuss the challenges and successes faced by our international colleagues and share best practice and solutions for how we can move forward as a community in support.

This event is designed to bring together a diverse audience of science educators who have experience of joinng the UK education system from abroad or who works in ITE, science education research, leads science in a setting, works as a science teacher or is a trainee.

This is a separate event from our International Networking Programme which is specifically targeted at those who have joined the UK education system from overseas to train or teach.

In this session, we will discuss

  • what is currently being done to support international teachers?
  • what is working well?
  • what more can be done?  And in particular what can the ASE do?
