Biography:

I have been delivering high quality professional development sessions for leaders, classroom practionners, trainees and NQTs for over 17 years and a teacher for more than 20.

I am a Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach), proud member of the ASE Futures committee and is accredited as a lead facilitator with a CPD Mark.

I was part of the author team for 'Snap Science' from Collins and have recently co-authored '100 ideas for primary teachers - Science' which was published in September 2020.

As the Senior Regional Hub Leader for the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) for Yorkshire and the Humber, I lead a team of hub leaders working with 100s schools each year across the region to raise the profile of science in their school.

I am a fellow of the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT) and work within the SEERIH team at the University of Manchester. I also work part time as a freelance primary science consultant.

I am passionate about inspiring teachers and children and, in particular, making science engaging and meaningful and am the founder and director of Primary Science Geeks, an education consultancy based in Yorkshire and The Humber.
