Description

The ASE Science swap shop is full of shared ideas for activities for each age range (Age 3-11).

Age 3-5 Mini Straw Flutes: Musical instruments are a fantastic way to explore sound and how the pitch and volume of a sound can be changed. Age 5-7 Activity: Dancing bees This activity encourages children to think about how bees communicate by creating their own waggle dance!

Age 7-9 Secret messages: Lemon and lime juice are very difficult to see when used to write on white paper, but when heated turn brown. This makes them a great invisible ink.

Age 9-11 Muffling Sounds: Sound vibrations can travel through air, water and solid materials, but travel through some materials better than others. This investigation encourages children to discover which materials are best at reducing the loudness of a sound.
