Support ASE - Donations and Legacies

The ASE is incredibly thankful for the support and generosity of its’ members – from volunteering for the organisation through to donations and legacies – having their support has enabled us to continue promoting excellence in science across the education community; by helping teachers access a wide range of teaching resources – and through key events, activities, policy development – and our hugely popular annual ASE Conference.

You can keep up to date with ASE activity through our news page as well as reading our Annual Report

Donations - Help us do more for the science education community

If you would like to make a donation, you can do so as a one-off donation or set- up a recurring regular donation below.

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can gift aid any donation which provides the Association with an additional 25p for every £1 donated. In addition to one off and regular donations, you can also choose to sponsor schools or colleges to become members, enabling others in the UK and internationally to gain from the benefits of ASE membership. Please do get in contact if you would like to nominate a school for support.

Preferred donation route

Our preferred donation route is via CAF Donate as they are able to process Gift Aid automatically for us.

You can make a credit or debit card payment or pay through PayPal using this route. CAF Donate accepts any level of payment you would like to generously offer, but you should check with your bank on any limitations on individual payments for your account if making a large contribution.

Legacies - Provide a lasting contribution

If you would like to make a lasting difference to the affairs and capabilities of the Association and give back to the wider science education community in the generations to come, a legacy gift can be a more personal way to support the ASE. Many of our core activities such as conferences, policy development, journals and teaching resources are enhanced by the security of the long-term support offered by legacy gifts.

You can access the official government guidance on making a gift to charity in your will

Many of our core activities such as conferences, policy development, journals and teaching resources are enhanced by the security of the long-term support offered by legacy gifts. The ASE is a registered charity and bequests – be they residuary, pecuniary or specific – will not be subject to inheritance tax in the UK. For more information on tax efficient giving to charities, click here. If you are interested in providing a lasting contribution, we advice you to seek professional legal advice with respect to legacies beforehand.
