ASE pays tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

For almost the entire ASE team - and indeed, given her 70-year reign, we would posit the vast majority of the science education community – Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II offered an enduring sense of stability that has been a constant though times of innovation, progress, disruption and change. As an organisation dedicated to the betterment of the world through education, her devotion to public service has been an inspiration to so many of us, as it has been to so many throughout the world.

We are inordinately proud to have been granted a Royal Charter by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2004, and just as proud that for so many years her departed consort HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh was kind enough to be our patron.

We send our sympathies and support to all in Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s family at this tremendously difficult time, and our best wishes to the new King, Charles III.
