�Safeguarding� is a major issue in schools and colleges at the moment and it is a limiting grade in Ofsted inspections. It involves much more than just health and safety, as it includes many aspects of �Every Child Matters� (ECM), as well as Child Protection. It affects all areas of the institution: from senior management to teachers, technicians, administrative and maintenance staff.
