Description
NASA's Mars rover has discovered gravel once carried by the waters of an ancient stream that "ran vigorously" through the area the US space agency has said. Scientists had previously found other evidence of the one-time presence of water on the red planet.
Children will use knowledge about the evaporation to understand what has happened to the water on Mars.
Learning Objective:
- that gases are formed when liquids evaporate.
Children will learn:
- to explain 'disappearance' of water in a range of situations as evaporation.
These resources were initially developed in partnership with the Centre for Science Education, Sheffield Hallam University.
