The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site is a world-famous educational resource that showcases 185 million years of Earth's history over 95 miles along the Dorset and East Devon coastline. Weymouth and Portland hosted the London 2012 Olympic sailing and windsurfing events, allowing the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site Team to promote the potential of the Site to teachers in 250 schools and to give them the skills and knowledge needed to teach about the Jurassic Coast, World Heritage and the local natural environment, and to link them to the Olympic values.
