A cross-curricular project, 'Indigo – the Colour Blue', aims to acquaint pupils with the topic from two different perspectives, that of chemistry and that of art, and follow this up with an exhibition of the results achieved. Alternating phases focusing on content and method from both art and chemistry ensure a variation of perspective in addition to cross-linking. The responsibility for the particular perspective, whether art or chemistry, lies with the individual subject teacher.
