Description

By using a specific episode of the popular television cartoon series The Simpsons, a range of techniques can be communicated, including microscope setup and use, simple chemical analysis, observation and interpretation. Knowledge of blood groups and typing, morphological comparison of hair samples, fingerprint analysis and DNA fingerprinting are covered. Potential for covering literacy, numeracy and other outcomes are also discussed.
