Welcome to this issue of JES! The articles in this issue all provide different perspectives on science education by exploring experiences for different age groups, from early childhood and older primary pupils, to secondary age students collaboratively working with primary phase teachers. There are three practitioner perspective articles in this issue, which is a positive sign that demonstrates increasing engagement with research in this open access publication.
