Description
This is a plea to teach science from contexts that are real to our students – science that is used to help us understand everyday or global issues. It requires us to be science teachers rather than teachers of biology, physics or chemistry. When our students enter the adult world, they will be able to use their knowledge to understand the world around them, rather than use it to pass an
examination and then forget it all.
